President Donald Trump renewed his criticism of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, accusing him of having “mental problems” and stating he should be fired for not cutting interest rates aggressively enough to support the economy.

Speaking at an investment forum with Saudi Arabia, Trump urged Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to influence Powell, calling Powell “ridiculous” and expressing frustration over the Federal Reserve’s cautious approach.
