Plaid Cymru has published the full list of its candidates for the upcoming Senedd election. The party, led by Rhun ap Iorwerth, is expected to have its best ever result in May 2026. Polls show it could be the largest party, or a close second to Reform UK, with Labour's vote projected to collapse .

The election is in May 2026, and will be totally different to any previous devolved election. There will be new constituencies and a new voting system. Instead of the current mix of constituency and regional seats, there will 16 constituencies which will each elect six Senedd members.
