STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police have identified Robert Farina, 60, of Port Richmond, as the victim in a fatal crash that occurred last month in Greenridge.
According to the NYPD, on Sunday, Oct. 26, at approximately 6:45 p.m., police received a report of a pedestrian struck at Arthur Kill Road and Richmond Avenue.
That intersection was listed as one of the most dangerous on Staten Island based on 2024 crash data.
The NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad determined that a 2013 Honda Civic, operated by an 80-year-old female, was traveling westbound on Arthur Kill Road when she struck Farina, police said.
Farina was rushed by EMS to Northwell Staten Island University Hospital, Prince’s Bay, in stable condition but later died from his injuries, according to a statement rele
