Siegel Lifelong Learning Program at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland will hold a series of lectures about different aspects of Judaism and the Jewish people in December.
Samantha Baskind, a professor of art history at Cleveland State University, will speak about Moses Jacob Ezekiel, a Jewish American sculptor who fought for the Confederacy and later established himself as a sculptor in Rome, creating over 100 sculptures.
The lecture will be held at the Landmark Centre Building at 25700 Science Park Drive, Suite 100, in Beachwood, in Beachwood from 10:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 3.
Baskind’s book, “Moses Jacob Ezekiel: Jewish, Confederate, Expatriate Sculptor, Samantha Baskind” is an optional book reading.
Cost for Siegel Lifelong Learning Program members is $5 and for nonmembers $
