This is the moment a former politician who led Reform UK and UKIP in Wales was quizzed by counter terrorism police about taking bribes to make pro-Russian statements. He would go on to plead guilty to eight counts of bribery.

Nathan Gill, 52, received payment in return for making statements in favour of pro-Russian media outlets in Ukraine. He also made pro-Russian statements in the European Parliament after receiving payment in kind, with wads of Euros and dollars later discovered at his home.

Gill was stopped by police at Manchester Airport on September 13, 2021, under schedule three of the Counter Terrorism and Borders Security Act 2019. His phone was seized and searched, and his home in Llangefni, Anglesey , was also searched, resulting in further electronic items being seized. F
