A murder trial is set to take place in June, 2026, after a doctor failed to accept that a husband had killed his wife due to diminished responsibility.
Michael Davies, 57, previously entered a guilty plea to a count of manslaughter after his wife's body was discovered in a house by police who had been called out due to concerns for her welfare. Davies's wife, Tracey Davies, 48, was found dead in a property in Cefn Cribwr, near Bridgend , on April 18.
Davies was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with her murder. He denied murdering his wife, on the grounds of diminished responsibility and Judge Daniel Williams adjourned the case for psychiatric reports to be carried out.
