The superintendent of Grapevine-Colleyville ISD resigned on Thursday afternoon, sources say.

NBC 5’s education reporter Wayne Carter learned from multiple sources that Superintendent Brad Schnautz submitted his resignation to district officials late Thursday.

Schnautz has served as the superintendent of Grapevine-Colleyville ISD since March 2023.

His resignation comes as the district faces budget issues , which could lead to several school closures.
