PHOENIX – Drivers should stay alert when traveling this weekend in existing work areas along Valley freeways, but state transportation officials said no mainline highway closures are planned.

“Be prepared for driving on wet pavement due to inclement weather conditions. Slow down and allow extra braking distance behind other vehicles,” an Arizona Department of Transportation release stated.

Freeway restrictions, including ramp closures, are subject to schedule change due to weather or other factors, according to ADOT.
