WILMINGTON — Jan Jurden has long been watching Wilmington University build its school of law, building on the dreams of a handful of staff members even before she became its dean.

Now, Jurden is excited to see those dreams and plans drafted years ago finally become a reality as the university opens its $39.5 million School of Law building and convocation center in Brandywine.

“Being here and seeing what the building looks like, it’s thrilling. I did a walkthrough with the students last week and they were just so happy. They were practicing cross-examination in the mock trial courtrooms and they couldn’t wait to get started,” she said. “I didn’t think I could be any more excited than I was before but watching them made it even more real.”
