CABARRUS COUNTY, N.C. — A bomb threat was reported at Central Cabarrus High School on Friday morning, Cabarrus County Schools confirmed.

The threat came in around 9 a.m., coinciding with a student-planned walkout to protest Border Patrol operations in Charlotte . Law enforcement responded quickly and cleared the building by 10 a.m.

Concord Police said many students were already outside due to the protest. The remaining students were evacuated to the football field while investigators determined there were no explosives on campus.
