CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Gov. Josh Stein penned a letter to Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem asking for federal transparency, details on Border Patrol operations in Charlotte, a comprehensive list of all people detained in Operation Charlotte's Web and more.

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol has been operating in Charlotte since Saturday, Nov. 15, detaining over 370 people in less than a week. Charlotte officials, activists and community leaders have been pushing for the operation to end and for federal immigration agents to leave.

Local communities have been organizing to protect families and students , and to document Border Patrol movements and arrests, which has been encouraged by Gov. Stein.
