Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland was driving close to 150 mph on the night he died, according to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety shared by TMZ. The 24-year-old player’s death earlier this month is considered a suicide, and it just shocked his teammates and the NFL.
A DPS officer reported seeing Kneeland’s Dodge Charger around 10:30 p.m. on November 5. The officer followed him and saw him changing lanes and passing other cars at high speed. The report says Kneeland reached more than 145 mph as the officer tried to pull him over. Moments later, Kneeland sped away and disappeared.
