A pair of cold fronts will slip through Eastern North Carolina this weekend, bringing a gradual cool-down after today’s unseasonably warm 70s. A few widely scattered showers and an isolated storm may linger into this evening as the first front moves south, but most of the night stays quiet aside from low clouds and late-night fog.

Sunday starts off cool, but skies clear into the afternoon as highs settle into the mid-60s. Another reinforcing front Sunday night will drop temperatures a bit more for Monday, keeping highs near where we should be for late November.

By Tuesday, southerly winds return and warm things back up, highs jump 6–10 degrees above normal. Our next system arrives late Tuesday through Wednesday with a 40–60% chance of rain. Some Gulf moisture may feed into this front, so
