PHOENIX — Four people were shot, including two children, in south Phoenix on Saturday, according to officials with the city's police department. A man died at the scene.
The shooting happened near 19th Avenue and Baseline Road at 2:45 p.m.
Police said some sort of dispute happened between two drivers, who then turned into the parking lot at Lowe's. Witnesses told police there was a fistfight when one driver pulled out a gun and started firing, striking the other driver, a woman and two children inside the vehicle, police said.
A man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The woman and two children were taken to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
Police are investigating whether or not the drivers knew each other.
