President Donald Trump and New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani discussed pressing Consolidated Edison to lower their rates during a meeting at the White House on Friday.
Speaking to the press from the Oval Office, Trump revealed that he and Mamdani spoke on the matter in their closed-door meeting.
“We talked about Con Edison...we have to get Con Edison to start lowering their rates,” Trump said.
To this Mamdani verbally agreed, saying “absolutely.”
