LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) — An Omaha man was hospitalized after a shooting in north Lincoln on Saturday.
Lincoln Police responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment near North Ninth Street and Belmont Avenue around 4 p.m.
According to LPD, officers arrived and started CPR on a 29-year-old man who had been shot. Lincoln Fire and Rescue took over life saving measures and took him to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A 34-year-old Lincoln man, who police say is known to the shooting victim and who was in the apartment, is cooperating with law enforcement, according to LPD.
LPD said there is no threat to the public. This investigation is ongoing.
