Today marks stir-up Sunday, the day when countless Christmas puddings will be made up and down the land. It is an informal term in Catholic and Anglican churches for the last Sunday before the season of Advent - but it also marks the day Christmas puds are made.
Chef Darren Grady lifted the lid on what the Royal Family like to eat at Christmas. After a full cooked breakfast, the Royals would reportedly go to church together before heading home to enjoy a roast turkey with all the trimmings.
That was followed up with Christmas pudding and brandy sauce. As if that was not enough, there would be an afternoon tea - complete with Yule log, Christmas cake, and a selection of chocolate pastries.
