There was little respite from toxic air in Delhi on Sunday, as the national capital continued to reel under very poor air quality for the tenth straight day. The city’s overall Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 380, a slight deterioration from Saturday’s levels, while several monitoring stations reported readings in the severe category.
At 7:15 am, Jahangirpuri recorded an AQI of 438, placing it firmly in the severe range. Other hotspots like Bawana (431), Anand Vihar (427), and Ashok Vihar (421) also registered severe pollution levels, indicating persistently hazardous conditions across many parts of the capital.
In the neighbouring NCR region, Noida’s air quality was on the brink of slipping into the severe category with an AQI of 396. Greater Noida registered an AQI of 380, categorised
