Aiken, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Aiken Coroner’s Office says a couple from Aiken died days apart from each other more than a month after they were involved in a crash.

According to the Coroner, on October 13, 84-year-old Charles Sooner was driving a 2016 Hyundai Sonata with his wife, 83-year-old Barbara Sooner, in the passengers seat.

They were traveling on Whiskey Road near Hitchcock Drive Southwest when their car collided with another vehicle around 4:45 p.m., officials say.

The couple was taken to Wellstar MCG and later released to Anchor Post Acute Care and Rehabilitation, the coroner says.
