The Islanders didn’t have much of an issue with their would-be tying goal getting waived off Saturday.

Coach Patrick Roy did not explicitly agree with the call, but admitted he likely would have lost a challenge had he made one on Bo Horvat’s shot that was tipped in by Blues defender Justin Faulk but immediately discounted, resulting from Kyle Palmieri skating into goaltender Jordan Binnington.

Jonathan Drouin drew a four-minute double minor high stick on the play, giving the Islanders a power play for the last 2:06 of the eventual 2-1 loss to St. Louis , but they couldn’t convert.

“I think Palmsy went in by himself, and I know there was a bump afterwards,” Roy said.
