Meghan Markle reportedly "copyrighted" the name Lilibet, before giving birth to her and Prince Harry's daughter back in 2021. Lilibet was famously the childhood pet name used by Queen Elizabeth II when she was too small to pronounce her name, and continued to be used by her parents, sister and husband throughout her life.
A royal commentator took aim at the couple for the decision after the claim appeared in a book by esteemed royal author Robert Hardman. It was reported at the time that the late Queen Elizabeth was left furious following their claim she had given them her blessing to call their baby daughter Lilibet .
