Johannesburg, Nov 23 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Brazil President Inacio Lula da Silva met at the G20 Summit in Johannesburg, reaffirming their commitment to enhance trade and cultural linkages between India and Brazil.

They emphasized a “people-centric” approach in their Strategic Partnership, which aims to strengthen cooperation in areas such as technology, energy, and agriculture.

Both leaders highlighted their roles in multilateral forums like BRICS and G20, expressing interest in leveraging Brazil’s strengths and diversifying energy sources.

This collaboration follows PM Modi’s earlier visit to Brazil, which resulted in significant agreements and Brazil awarding him its highest honor.
