CHESTNUT HILL – The No. 15/15 Boston College men’s hockey team fell to No. 10/11 Maine by a score of 3-0 in Hockey East action on Saturday evening at Kelley Rink.
Louka Cloutier made 16 saves between the pipes for the Eagles. Boston College moved to 7-5-1 overall and 5-3-0 in Hockey East, while Maine improved to 8-5-1 overall and 5-3-0 in league play.
Maine jumped out to an early lead just 1:32 into the game when Miguel Marques intercepted a pass in the BC defensive zone and capitalized on the opportunity to put the Black Bears in front. The Black Bears doubled their lead midway through the opening period with a short-handed goal from Josh Nadeau.
