CIRCLEVILLE TOWNSHIP — Pickaway County deputies are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck an 86-year-old woman on a motorized mobility scooter as she crossed U.S. Route 23 in a marked crosswalk Thursday morning.
The incident happened just before 6:45 a.m. on November 20, 2025, at the intersection of US-23 and Sperry Drive
.According to the sheriff’s office report, Jerrie-Anne Bennett of Circleville was waiting at the signal post and began crossing northbound US-23 in the marked crosswalk when the pedestrian “walk” signal activated. At the same time, traffic on Sperry Drive received a green light.
An unknown vehicle stopped at the red light on westbound Sperry Drive made a right turn onto northbound US-23 and failed to yield to the pedestrian in the crosswalk. The vehicle struck
