GREENWOOD, S.C. – Carson-Newman (3-0) got a 30-point, 15-rebound double-double from Jack Browder (Kingsport, Tenn.) and used a man-to-man defense to confound Lander (2-1) into a rough shooting night in a 74-61 win over the Bearcats Saturday afternoon at Finis Horne Arena.
The win gives Carson-Newman its second 3-0 start in the last two years and its first over Lander since 2018-19.
C-N held the Bearcats to 35.7 percent shooting and a 5-of-25 mark (20 percent) from beyond the arc.
