Amid a political row over Centre’s plan to take control over Chandigarh , the Home Ministry Sunday clarified that the proposal has not been finalised and is still under consideration. In a statement released on X, the Ministry of home Affairs said: “The proposal only to simplify the Central Government’s law-making process for the Union Territory of Chandigarh is still under consideration with the Central Government. No final decision has been taken on this proposal.”
