Just in time for the holidays, Lafayette gift store Pieces of Eight has doubled its footprint and its level of optimism.
Sisters Angelle Adams, Natalie Duhon and Nichole Romero are now in their second holiday shopping season as owners. But it's their first after acquiring the empty space next door to their new location in the Time Plaza shopping center.
Now the store, which the Breaux family started in 1971 in the Oil Center, is gearing up for a peak shopping season the owners are hoping will stick around well past Christmas.
“It kicks off our busy season, and it stays busy through the Mardi Gras season,” Adams said.
