Swansea Council has issued an update hours before the city's popular Christmas parade after a sinkhole opened up on a busy road. A section of Bryn-y-Mor Road in Swansea was closed on Saturday with the council adding it was likely to remain shut for a number of days due to the sinkhole.
On Sunday morning the council issued an update to local residents confirming the closed section of the road has been moved. It is now shut between the junction of the southern exit of Eaton Crescent and the junction of King Edward Road.
The Christmas parade route is not affected, the statement added.
The council asked anyone heading to the parade take alternative routes to avoid Bryn-y-Mor Road.
