Television presenter Alan Titchmarsh appeared taken aback when Great British Bake Off star Prue Leith made an unexpected revelation within moments of his Sunday morning programme beginning.

During today's instalment of Love Your Weekend (November 23), Alan was joined in his shed by broadcaster Prue alongside Downton Abbey and Cold Feet star Robert Bathurst.

The discussion quickly moved to their shared African heritage, with Prue having been born in Cape Town, South Africa, whilst Robert entered the world in Accra, Ghana's capital, before the conversation shifted towards horticulture.
