Stark State College and community agencies joined forces to help lift students who might need a helping hand for Thanksgiving.
Faculty, staff and student organizations, including an annual initiative led by Counseling Support Services and the Psi Beta Honor Society, the college community assembled about 80 bags filled with items needed for a traditional holiday feast. To complete the meal, every bag included a $40 gift card for a main dish.
The annual program is open to all enrolled students, with no questions asked. If demand exceeds supply, coordinators quickly reach out for additional donations to cover the waitlist.
