Alexander Isak's words after leaving Newcastle United may have come back to haunt him as the striker broke an unwanted Premier League record.
The Sweden international left St James' Park in the summer to join the reigning league champions in a deal worth £130million.
Isak expressed a desire to leave Newcastle during the summer transfer window, which led to the striker eventually getting his wish and moving to Anfield.
Before that, Isak did not feature during any pre-season matches for the Magpies and trained away from his teammates as the saga rumbled on.
Since leaving Newcastle, Isak has scored just one goal for Liverpool - which came against Southampton in the Carabao Cup
