Jagjit Singh, a 51-year-old Indian man, who came to Canada on a temporary visa to see his newborn grandchild, was convicted of criminally harassing two teenage girls outside their school. Singh was arrested and was given a short jail sentence. Now he would be deported and barred from re-entering Canada ever. According to Toronto Sun, Singh arrived in Canada in July on a six-month visa. He used to visit the smoking area of a high school and tried to befriend young girls. The girls complained that Singh tried to communicate with them despite knowing no English and approached them for photographs.
