One more to earn one more.
That slogan helped McQueen beat Reno last week in the 4A-North Regional football championship.
Now the Lancers have one more game: the state championship.
McQueen (10-2) plays Sloan Canyon (12-0) at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
McQueen coach Matt Marner said some of his players were overlooking Reno last week, and he — along with the coaching staff — had to re-direct their attention.
"Some of them were kind of turning their eyes toward, 'Are we going to play SLAM or are we going to play Sloan Canyon,' and I said, 'Guys, if you overlook Reno, we’re not going to be in that game,'" Marner said. “So we spent time talking about, one more, to earn one more.”
Marner was the Lancers' offensive coordinator in 2021 when McQueen played Bishop
