LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentuckians will see some sunshine for our Sunday forecast - ahead of some big changes for the Holiday week.

Dense fog is causing some visibility concerns this morning but won’t last for long. After the fog mixes out of our skies, some sunshine will have us in a dry set up for the rest of the day. Temps peak in the mid to upper 50s. Enjoy the sunshine - because the rest of the week gets busy!

Let’s break down the week by day:

MONDAY:

Our dry stretch lasts into at least Monday afternoon, but skies turn mostly cloudy as moisture surges in from the southwest. Showers will develop across western Kentucky later in the day and evening, then expand into central and eastern Kentucky by Monday night.
