MORGANTOWN, W.Va ( WDTV /Gray News) - A man in West Virginia is accused of sexually assaulting a woman, then shoving her underwater and choking her in his hot tub.
Jonathan Savin, 40, of Morgantown, is charged with first-degree sexual abuse, second-degree sexual assault and strangulation, according to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim told police she was hanging out at a friend’s house when she went for a walk and was picked up by Savin.
The two got into the hot tub at his residence, where, police reported, he began to aggressively touch her. According to the official reports, he bruised her chest, both arms and lower leg,
Police said Savin then bit her, forced her underwater in the hot tub, and choked her to the point that she could not breathe.
