A big temperature drop is in the forecast for Thanksgiving Day after two days of widespread rain, according to the National Weather Service.
Sunday will feature partly to mostly cloudy skies with high temperatures in the low 50s across most of northern New Jersey and mid-50s in southern areas.
Far northwestern New Jersey may struggle to reach the low 40s, with a slight chance of a few rain or snow showers in Sussex County.
A weak cold front will pass through Sunday night, bringing mostly clear skies and overnight lows in the low to mid-30s statewide.
Monday will start mostly clear before clouds increase late in the day.
High temperatures will reach the low 50s across most areas. Northwest winds will gust to 20 to 25 mph through early Monday afternoon before diminishing.
