The agitation over the alleged multi-crore compensation scam related to the Lada-Sarli road under the Arunachal Frontier Highway is set to intensify, with the All Nyishi Youth Association (ANYA) preparing to call for a shutdown after ending its sit-in protest in Itanagar today.

Speaking to Northeast Live, Ramesh Taku, President of the ANYA East Kameng District Unit, said the organisation has been protesting peacefully for a long time but has received no response from the government.

“We have been ignored. There has been no action from the government. So now, as the next step, we will call for a shutdown,” Taku said.
