MT. JULIET, Tenn. (WSMV) - On Saturday evening, officers with the Mt. Juliet Police Department arrested two people connected to shoplifting cases.

Officers with the MJPD were investigating two “suspicious” vehicles nearly simultaneously.

One was at Academy Sports and the other was at a McDonald’s near Interstate 40.

Police said a 32-year-old woman from Baxter, TN, was at the Academy Sports where she allegedly just shoplifted $262 in clothing from the store. Police said they also had three active warrants related to another shoplifting case from Target on Oct. 17. Officials added that the woman had methamphetamine hidden in her clothing.

At the McDonald’s, police arrested a 33-year-old man from Crossville. He was reportedly involved in a shoplifting case at the Madison Home Depot on Fri
