Bangladesh's interim government has formally requested India to extradite former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Hasina was sentenced to death by Bangladesh's International Crimes Tribunal for crimes against humanity. The tribunal also sentenced a former home minister. Both are currently in India. The interim government is pursuing their return through diplomatic channels.
