A child, that was injured in a house fire in Chester, Delaware County, on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025 , has succumbed to his injuries, officials said.

According to police, a 3-year-old boy who -- along with a woman -- were hospitalized following a house fire that erupted at a property along the 200 block of Wilson Street on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025.

On Sunday morning, officials confirmed the boy had passed.

On social media, Chester City Councilmember Fred Green identified to victim as 3-year-old Sy'Aire Redd. The councilman said the woman, who was still hospitalized in critical condition, as the boy's mother.
