Factionalism within the Congress in Sangareddy has stalled the appointment of a new District Congress Committee president, with the AICC unable to reach consensus. Strong opposition from Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar and Narayankhed MLA Patlolla Sanjeeva Reddy has blocked the proposal to appoint NRI leader Ujwal Reddy.

Sangareddy: The faction war within the Congress in Sangareddy has escalated to a point where the All India Congress Committee ( AICC ) failed to arrive at a consensus on appointing the District Congress Committee (DCC) president.

The impasse follows strong opposition from Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar and Narayankhed MLA Patlolla Sanjeeva Reddy to the proposal of appointing NRI leader S Ujwal Reddy, who has the support of Health Minister Damodara Rajanarasimha, PCC
