TIMONIUM, Md. —
Christmas trees of all shapes, themes and sizes are on sale for a good cause.
Kennedy Krieger Institute is celebrating its 36th annual Festival of Trees at the Maryland State Fairgrounds taking place over Thanksgiving weekend.
The festival showcases hundreds of designs and kicks off the holiday season with a fundraiser benefiting the hospital's patients.
"It's really important for us to have this event, to, one, raise funds, but also raise awareness about our patients and the people that we serve here at Kennedy Krieger," said Colette Nguyen, an events specialist at Kennedy Krieger.
Kennedy Krieger has helped more than 30,000 people all across Maryland. The funds from the festival will go toward supplies for inpatient care.
