Aaron Rodgers is out for Week 12.

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback will not play against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, as he is dealing with a left wrist injury .

Rodgers, 41, was hurt earlier this month in a win over the Cincinnati Bengals, and had missed last Wednesday's practice.

He was then limited during the following two sessions in the build-up to Sunday's game.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, he had been pushing to play against the Bears, but the game came around too quickly.

This would have been his first time on the field in Chicago since departing their great rival, the Green Bay Packers .

Instead, though, it's veteran backup Mason Rudolph who will start against a legitimate Super Bowl contender .
