Residents of the town of Berthoud can win a variety of gift cards this holiday season through the town’s “shop local” program. The town is promoting a contest by which shoppers of local businesses write their names and phone numbers on their receipts over $10 through Dec. 21, which will earn them the chance to win a $75 gift card or a $500 gift basket, according to a news release.

Customers can drop off their receipts the outdoor utility drop box at Town Hall, the drop box located at the front desk of Town Hall, or the Berthoud Recreation Center. Each entered receipt qualifies people for a weekly gift card drawing, the release stated.
