1JACKSON, NJ – A township-wide search is underway for 22-year-old Mortimer Wortman, who was reported missing after he was last seen late Friday night near High Bridge Road.

Police said Wortman disappeared around 10:30 p.m. in a wooded area of the township, prompting concerns for his safety.

The Jackson Police Department is urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward immediately.

Wortman, described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and about 200 pounds, has light skin, dark brown hair, and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, burgundy hoodie, and blue jeans. Officials noted he has a nose piercing and several earrings in both ears.
