The Bengaluru police recently arrested a cop and seven other people for allegedly kidnapping four managers of a BPO firm.

The arrested have been identified as Jabiulla, Pavan, Atheeq, Bharath, Prasanna Kumar, Shabaz Ahmed, Tejas Dave and Chalapathy. All the accused are from Kolar, except Tejas Dave, who is from Ahmedabad . Meanwhile, Chalapathy worked as a police constable in Kolar district.

Home Minister G Parameshwara, addressing reporters on Sunday, said, “The arrested constable is posted at the Malur town police station. Strict instructions would be issued to the department to remain vigilant. We will take serious action against police personnel involved in such activities through both disciplinary and legal measures.”
