COLUMBUS, Ohio — Reaction continues after a Blendon Township police officer was acquitted of all charges in the fatal shooting of Ta’Kiya Young.
Officer Connor Grubb was found not guilty Friday on six counts tied to the Aug. 24, 2023, shooting. Young, 21, was killed in a Kroger parking lot after she allegedly stole from the store.
It was an emotional day inside the courthouse on Friday as the verdict was read. Young’s family broke down in tears and Grubb expressed gratitude to his attorneys.
On Saturday, demonstrators lined the front of the courthouse demanding "Justice for Ta'Kiya Young."
