Homes to be built on old school site

Plans have been submitted for 14 council homes to be built on the site of a former school . Pembrokeshire council is seeking planning permission for the development at the former Hakin Infants School in Milford Haven.

Back in April planners backed an application by the council to demolish the site ahead of an application for a housing development. A supporting statement at the time stated: “The former school buildings are boarded up, whereas the gardens and play areas have become overgrown."

It went on: "This is one of three schools to close in the last decade within the local area, alongside Hubberston VC School and Hakin Junior School, which have already been demolished.”
