There is no shortage of holiday events, light displays or presentations of “The Nutcracker” to help get you through the season.

While the season got started with the 39th annual Grand Illumination parade in downtown Norfolk and Grand Illumination in Suffolk, there are lighted boat and community parades in surrounding communities. Light displays are underway at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront, aboard the retired battleship Wisconsin, at Busch Gardens and at the botanical garden in Norfolk.
