Six international airlines have indefinitely suspended flights to Venezuela after an FAA warning of escalating security threats and military activity in the nation’s airspace.
The suspensions reflect heightened U.S. military operations in the region, including bomber flights and deployment of the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier.
The move comes as the Trump administration increases pressure on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and the U.S. military attacks boats in the Caribbean in an alleged anti-drug operation.
